Ruins of Arsemia Roman Bridge of Cendere

The Ruins of Arsemia Roman bridge of Cendere was erected in first century AD by the Roman Emperor Septimus Severus in honour of his wife Julia Donma. The engravings on the columns of the bridge give insight into the bridge and how it was built. Of the four columns that hold the bridge two of them were made for his two sons Caracalla and Geta. When Caracalla assumed the thrown he executed his brother Geta and removed the column that was built in his honour.
